First of all, Tell us about yourself. How do you feel right now in your life?
I'm feeling good although the pressure of growing up is getting bigger every day. I would love to have the amount time that I used to have to experiment with art.
How do you came to the world of graphic and design?
Like many of you I started making sigs cause they looked cool. So I quickly learned photoshop by experimenting with sigs and asking feedback on forums. Then I wanted to do something bigger so I started creating large art. After a while I got better so I applied for Artgroups like Konvulse and Evokeone. They really helped me a lot in pushing my skills and making me understand that it takes a lot of effort. A few years ago I decided that I wanted to do this as a profession So I changed school for the better. So now I'm in my third year of Graphic design so my objective is to gain my Master degree.
I read that you study Graphics Design at the moment. Do you think it is your dream job? Are there any alternatives beside the Graphics Design study for you?
Well I studied mechanics before I attended Art School but honestly I never want to go back to that. Graphic Designer is the only profession that I want to exercise. Perhaps if I ever get the chance to become a professional footballer then I'd reconsider that.
Your first works I can remember of you were vector artworks. Do you think vectorizing is a good way to getting started with all these graphic stuff?
Yes absolutely because I really learned how to think in layers. Also the pen tool is one of the most important tools there is in my opinion.
A little question to your work "Futurisk". How do you got this concept? I mean...its brilliant!
Well it started with a assignment from school and it turned into a whole style chance for me. We had to create a mask that was visually appealing. So I started sketching and I took my head as reference. We also had to make a digital version so I went crazy in photoshop. I tried to make a reflecting effect onto the mask. The reason for this style is a critique on creating 'new' things. It's not always necessary to create something 'new' to achieve original images. It's important how you handle the components that are given to you.
Do you think a good concept makes the half of a good artwork?
Well yes and no. I think it depends on the purpose of the image. It should block you to create something. You can make some very interesting work without have a concept because then the subconscious comes to hand. Client work on the other hand needs a concept because it needs to inform, entertain and convince at the same time.
Do you have any special tips for newcomer in making good artworks?
Well I don't know if they are special but I guess its important to look for your own style. I think it's best for a newcomer to experiment first and really get to know your software. Also try to look different to images. Don't just watch but try to understand from where they come from and how they are made.
What do you planning for the future? Freelancer all the time?
I'm not sure yet. It depends in how school goes for me. If I get my master degree in time then I might take extra classes to become a teacher. But in the meantime I'm just freelancing.
